Precautions for Initial Start-up of Gasoline Engine

1. Before installing other parts and transmission in the new engine, please drive the crankshaft and timing system with a manual wrench to check whether the pistons, connecting rods, camshafts, etc. are running normally.

2. Unscrew the thermostat and its cover, add coolant to the water tank until a large amount of coolant overflows from the intake manifold thermostat to ensure that the air in the water circulation system is exhausted, otherwise it is easy to cause the engine to overheat, burn the coolant , flush the cylinder head gasket etc.

3. Within ten minutes after the engine starts for the first time, please pay attention to the following points:

A : Unscrew the oil cap, check whether the oil enters the cylinder head, and lubricate the cylinder head system.

B: Unscrew the cap of the water tank to check whether the coolant circulates and whether there are air bubbles. If there are air bubbles, please continue to exhaust the air and replenish the coolant. Make sure the engine temperature is normal.

C: Check the oil seals and gaskets attached to the engine and the joint surfaces of all relevant appearance parts for oil leakage, water leakage, air leakage, etc. If there is any phenomenon, please repair it before starting.
